Random Strat Roulette Generator

Random challenge handicap for your next match.

Built and maintained by Paul Clark, Redmoon Software · Last checked

Ranked warmups and custom lobbies get stale fast. Spin for one of 64 self-imposed handicaps — 16 apiece for Valorant, CS2, Rainbow Six Siege, and Fortnite — like pistol-only buys or never taking the first fight, then apply it for one match. Popular with five-stacks, Discord communities, and streamers running viewer games. No-repeat memory is tracked per game, so switching titles never resets your progress.

How it works

  1. Choose. Pick your game.
  2. Draw. Click "Get a challenge" for a random handicap or loadout restriction.
  3. Play. Apply it for the match — reroll before your next one for something new.
  4. Rotate. Turn on no-repeats to cycle through all 16 of your game's challenges before any repeat.

About the Random Strat Roulette Generator

Constraints that make a familiar game unfamiliar

Every entry is a self-imposed rule for a single match — pistols only, no re-buys, never take the first fight, call your plan out loud before you move. The point is not to make you worse; it is to force you into parts of the game your habits have quietly walled off. A player who never uses utility learns more from one round of utility-only than from ten normal matches.

Each of the four games has its own pool written in that game’s own terms, because a constraint that means something in Siege is meaningless in Fortnite. Switching game switches the pool entirely.

Where this belongs, and where it does not

This is for casual lobbies, custom games, practice sessions and full-stack evenings where everyone has agreed to it. It is not for ranked. Several of these constraints will lose you the round outright, and imposing that on teammates who did not opt in is straightforwardly griefing — some of them are also close enough to throwing that they could be reported as such.

The version where a whole party draws the same strat and commits to it together is the one that works. The version where one person quietly handicaps themselves in a serious match is the one that gets people annoyed.

No repeats and shared draws

The No repeats this session option tracks what you have drawn per game and draws only from the rest, resetting once you have worked through the pool. Each game keeps its own record, so switching between them does not interfere.

The record is per browser, which matters for a group: if everyone draws on their own device, "no repeats" is only true for each person individually. Have one person draw and share the screen, or read it out.

Frequently asked questions

Which games have challenge pools?

Valorant, CS2, Rainbow Six Siege, and Fortnite, with 16 challenges each. Every pool is written for its own game's mechanics, so CS2 strats never appear in a Valorant draw.

Is strat roulette a good idea in ranked?

It works, but most players save it for casual or custom matches — handicaps like skipping armor buys or knife-only first kills genuinely hurt your win odds.

How does my whole team follow one draw?

Draw once, hit copy, and paste the challenge into your team's voice or text chat. Everyone applies the same handicap for that round or match.

Do I lose my no-repeat history when I switch games?

No. Each game keeps a separate used list, so you can rotate between titles and every pool still cycles through all 16 challenges before repeating.

When should I use the champion picker instead?

Use the champion picker when you just want a random character or agent to play; strat roulette adds a rule or restriction on top of whatever you normally run.
